I do a limited amount of commissioned work between writing and other projects. I specialize in distinctive, creative portraiture. The aim of commissioned work is to get a select number of individual images. The emphasis is on quality, rather than quantity.
I generally shoot film which gives a distinctive analog feel to the work. After a shoot, I make a selection of images and edit them for final editions.
Handfinishing has always been an important part of the photographic process. A normal shoot involving 1-2 person(s) generally results in 10-20 images. I do not shoot weddings and rarely do other event photography.
